Soco Farms is a USDA certified organic fourth generation family farm. We are committed to providing quality organic heirloom vegetables and heritage breed meats and eggs to our customers.

Organic farming is by no mean a new idea. The traditional and sustainable farming practices are being lost with in big commercial companies and dollar signs. Soco farms aims to utilize the traditional organic farming practices that have been handed down from generation to generation. The use of these practices, as well as heirloom vegetables, full blooded Wagyu cattle, Berkshire swine and Black Copper Maran Eggs, will not only provide a better product but will result in better health for the consumer.

Wagyu Cattle, also known as Kobe Beef", is most famous for genetically predisposed to intense marbling and to producing a high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat. Wagyu cattle’s genetic predisposition yields a beef that contains a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids than typical beef. The increased marbling also improves the ratio of monounsaturated fats to saturated fats.

Bershire Swine is a breed that is said to be the Wagyu of pork. This breed is known for its high quality meat and its high percentage of marbling, which doubles that of average pork. The Duroc yields juicy, tender and flavorful meat.

Heirloom Vegetables are open pollinated seeds that dated back to 1920’s are earlier. These vegetables have adapted over time to whatever climate and soil they have grown in. Due to their genetics, they are often resistant to local pests, diseases, and extremes of weather. These characteristics compliment the use of organic farming practices. The real full body flavor of the heirloom varieties vegetables are rivaled by none.

The Black Copper Maran has made a name for itself as one of the world breeds that produces chocolate brown eggs. It is highly prized by chefs, both for it’s color and quality.

Soco Farms mission statement is “From Our Family Farm To Your Family Table”.
